Eritrean athlete Teklemariam Medhin displayed his excellence and domination at the 2^nd CAA African Cross Country Championships that was held on Sunday (18) in Cape Town, South Africa, where athletes from 19 countries competed.

Teklemariam Medhin is one of the Eritreans that was expected to be a thorn in the flesh of team South Africa. With 6 World Championships in Cross Country behind his name (two as junior athlete in 2006 and 2007 in Fukuoka and Kenya) his experience will go a long way to assist his team

Multiple Half-marathon world champion Zersenay Tadese of Eritrea won the 56th Sao Silvestre Race in Luanda, Angola, that was held this Saturday.

He clocked new course record 27:44 ahead of the Ethiopian pack.

Zersenay Tadese said it was difficult to win the trophy, given the quality of his opponents.

The prime favorite and winner of the 2010 race was the legendary Haile Gebreslassie of Ethiopia who, however, forced to finnish a humiliating fifth in just 28:08
